Where Microsoft 365 usually goes wrong

The tenant was never hardened

Default settings leave sign-in, sharing and anti-phishing weaker than most owners assume.

Files are everywhere

The same document lives in OneDrive, a Teams channel, a SharePoint site and someone’s desktop, and nobody trusts which is current.

Licences do not match the work

Everyone is on the same plan regardless of role, or seats stay active for people who left months ago.

Teams grew without structure

Channels and sites were created ad hoc, so permissions are inconsistent and nothing is findable.

What is included

Every engagement

Migration

From Google Workspace, on-premises Exchange, old hosting or a messy existing tenant, with mail and files intact.

Security hardening

MFA, conditional access, anti-phishing, data loss prevention and sensible sharing defaults.

Teams and SharePoint

Structure that matches how your business works, so files are findable and permissions make sense.

Licensing

The right licence mix for each role, reviewed regularly so you are not paying for seats nobody uses.

Day-to-day support

Mailbox, calendar, Teams and OneDrive issues resolved by people who administer the platform daily.

How we set it up properly

1

Review the tenant

We audit identity, sharing, mail flow and security settings, and show you what is currently open.

2

Harden

Multi-factor authentication, conditional access, anti-phishing and sensible sharing defaults are applied with the disruption planned, not improvised.

3

Structure the content

Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive are arranged around how your business actually works, with permissions that match.

4

Support the people using it

Ongoing helpdesk plus short practical guidance, because the licence only pays off when staff use what it includes.

“Steve from Static Computers has consistently demonstrated exceptional expertise across Microsoft 365, particularly in environments where security and precision matter most. Working alongside Steve on security-focused initiatives has been both productive . He brings a calm, methodical approach to complex challenges, helping shape solutions that are not only effective but built with long-term resilience in mind. What stands out most is Steve’s depth of knowledge combined with sound judgement. In a landscape where security risks are constantly evolving, this gives us a high level of confidence in the decisions being made and the systems being implemented. Equally, his responsiveness and availability make a real difference. When timing matters Steve is dependable, engaged, and quick to act. We greatly value the working relationship and look forward to continuing to collaborate with Steve and the team at Static Computers.”

Questions we get asked

Can you migrate us from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365?

Yes. Mail, calendars, contacts and Drive files are migrated in stages with a planned cutover, and staff are shown where everything lives afterwards.

Is Microsoft 365 secure out of the box?

Not sufficiently for a business. Default tenants often lack enforced MFA, have open sharing and weak anti-phishing settings. Hardening the tenant is one of the first things we do.

What happens in a free IT review?

A 30-minute call, phone or Teams. We ask what you run, what breaks, and what worries you, then tell you plainly what we would fix first and what it would take. There is no obligation and nothing to install beforehand.

Which licence do we need?

It depends on whether you need device management, advanced security and compliance features, or just email and Office. We map licences to roles so you are not buying the top plan for every seat.

Will hardening the tenant disrupt staff?

Multi-factor authentication is the change people notice. We stage the rollout, give clear instructions and stay available during it, which keeps the disruption to a single sign-in per device.
