When a cloud conversation is worth having

A server is approaching end of life

The choice between replacing hardware and moving the workload is the moment to decide deliberately rather than by default.

Staff need to work from anywhere

Files reachable only from the office turn every remote day into a workaround, and workarounds are where data leaks.

You are paying twice

Cloud subscriptions were added alongside on-premises systems that still run, so you carry both costs and neither is retired.

Nobody owns the cloud bill

Licences accumulate for staff who left, and consumption costs drift with no one reviewing them.

What is included

Every engagement

Cloud readiness review

What to move, what to keep on premises, and what it will cost month to month before anything changes.

Microsoft 365 and Azure

Migration of email, files and applications to Microsoft cloud services, configured securely from day one.

File and server migration

Retire ageing servers by moving file shares and applications to cloud platforms with minimal downtime.

Cloud management

Ongoing administration, cost monitoring, licence management and security configuration.

Remote work setup

Secure access to everything your team needs from home, site or another city.

How a migration runs

1

Readiness review

Every workload assessed on fit and cost: what moves, what stays, what gets retired. You see the month-to-month figure before anything changes.

2

Design and prepare

Identity, access and security are configured first, so the destination is safe before your data arrives.

3

Migrate in stages

Data is seeded and synchronised, and cutover happens out of hours with a rollback position at each step.

4

Settle and manage

We stay close for the first days, then take over ongoing administration, licence review and cost monitoring.

Not sure what you need? Start with a free IT review.

We look at your current setup and tell you what we would fix first. No obligation, no jargon.

What clients say on Google

10 of our 40+ Google reviews

“Steve from Static Computers has consistently demonstrated exceptional expertise across Microsoft 365, particularly in environments where security and precision matter most. Working alongside Steve on security-focused initiatives has been both productive . He brings a calm, methodical approach to complex challenges, helping shape solutions that are not only effective but built with long-term resilience in mind. What stands out most is Steve’s depth of knowledge combined with sound judgement. In a landscape where security risks are constantly evolving, this gives us a high level of confidence in the decisions being made and the systems being implemented. Equally, his responsiveness and availability make a real difference. When timing matters Steve is dependable, engaged, and quick to act. We greatly value the working relationship and look forward to continuing to collaborate with Steve and the team at Static Computers.”

Questions we get asked

Should our business move everything to the cloud?

Usually not everything. Email, files and collaboration almost always belong in the cloud. Some line-of-business applications or large local datasets are better kept on premises. We assess each workload rather than defaulting either way.

What does cloud migration involve for our staff?

Most migrations are staged out of hours. Staff typically notice a new sign-in and a short walkthrough of where things now live. We stay on hand for the first days after cutover.

What happens in a free IT review?

A 30-minute call, phone or Teams. We ask what you run, what breaks, and what worries you, then tell you plainly what we would fix first and what it would take. There is no obligation and nothing to install beforehand.

Is the cloud cheaper than a server?

Not automatically. Cloud converts a capital purchase into a monthly cost and removes replacement risk, which suits most small businesses, but a heavy local workload can be more expensive to run remotely. We put both figures in front of you before deciding.

Where does our data live?

Australian regions are used by default for the Microsoft services we deploy. Where a system requires otherwise we tell you before it is set up.
